Linking a course to 2 Subject Area pages on the website


The courses that are displayed on the Subject Area list page are drawn from the current branch so the new course section/branch that you have created  needs to be mirrored from one section to another as well as tagged for it to appear in more than one subject area list. To do this:



  • Select mirror branch from the yellow arrow on the section you wish to mirror







  • Select the settings as below (where the section to mirror is the one that you want to mirror into – in this case Children Young People and Community:


  •  Click mirror

 
After the next publish the course will appear in the list as below:

Create your short url section (making sure to de-select show in navigation) Change the Page Layout to 'ASP Redirect' on the 'Marjon 2016 Channel' Duplicate the Code Only content type entitled 'redirect code' from ' Home » Marjon » Home » PG redirect'  on SiteManager into your new short url section Modify the content and update the url to the page you want to redirect to - the url is enclosed by " " (this could be the normal url or a Google Campaign url if you want to gather statistics) Update and approve your new content Publish the new section and check that the redirect works correctly
